Okay, so, after the crap couple of days I've had, I decided to give in and go to Chapters. I have this insatiable need to own the ROTS novelization, so I thought I would go in and ogle the book a bit. After deciding that no, I couldn't afford the $40 dollar hard cover and could certainly wait until next year for the paperback, I put the book back on the shelf and dropped my gaze down to the next one, where the paperback of Jedi Trial teased me. So I picked that up.

Two titles over was Republic Commando: Hard Contact. It teased me, too (damn, teasing books. Who teaches them how to do that? I wanna learn, too!). I read the back cover and was all set to spend 40 minutes deciding between the two when I realized that I didn't have 40 minutes.

So I got both and figured the indecisive 40 minutes could be spent on the bus figuring out which to read first. Decided on Republic Commando (lovelovelove the game! Which is saying something, since I despise FPSs) since it would be something different.

And let me tell you, as much as I love Obi-Wan (♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ... etc.), Kit (♥ ♥ ♥), Anakin (♥ ♥ ♥) and the other Jedi/Republic heavyweights, it's a nice change to be reading a story from the POV of someone other than them.

I feel a Commander Cody muse threatening to take up residence in my head...
